Through our partnership, Honco was awarded the contract by Collège Boréal for the design of the steel building envelope and the supervision of its installation.
This brand new school facility was tailored to meet the client’s needs with optimal use of the interior space and the inclusion of an overhead crane. The structural ceiling, featuring a pre-painted white finish for a clean interior appearance, was specifically engineered to support special equipment attached to the ceiling. Additionally, the building achieved high energy efficiency objectives through superior insulation and a structural ceiling that allows for the heating or cooling of only the utilized spaces.
Several years later, a second section, roughly the same size, was added next to the workshop to accommodate classrooms. Together, Phases I and II encompass a total floor area of 4,745 m² (51,065 sq ft).
