Following a public call for tenders, Honco Buildings was awarded the contract to build the Centre récréatif Desjardins in 2020 in design-build mode.
The building offers an NHL-sized ice rink, 7 players' rooms including one for the referees, bleachers that can accommodate 510 visitors with a platform for people with reduced mobility and a capacity of 750 people during events such as shows. There is also a large walkway that serves as a walking track, a multi-purpose room with a view of the rink and dedicated to community activities as well as a VIP box / press gallery.
