Honco was awarded the design-build mandate for the turnkey construction of a new semi-trailer manufacturing plant for Trailex in Rimouski.
This custom-built facility, covering over 90,000 sq. ft., consolidates the company's production and administrative operations under one roof,
while significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity.
The plant was built using the Honco prefabricated steel building system and includes 12 overhead cranes ranging from 2 to 7.5 tons, storage areas, a control room, a loading dock, and dedicated areas for spare parts. At the front of the building, a two-storey administrative space complements the structure, featuring an architectural design that reflects the company's industrial identity.
With its turnkey approach and expertise in industrial building construction, Honco delivered a facility optimized for layout, energy efficiency, and functionality. This clear-span structure was designed to support the company’s growth and the efficiency of its manufacturing operations.
