Honco experiences remarkable growth and implements its "turnkey" project formula. The company makes its debut on the international market.
Parallel to Honco's achievements, three acquisitions are made during this decade: Garex, Métalec and Sturo Métal. The Honco Group is founded during this period, and new head offices are built in Lévis.
To keep up with the strong growth of its operations, Honco expands its head office. During this period, Supervac joins the Honco Group as its fifth subsidiary. Honco also becomes the first Quebec company to obtain CSA A660 certification.
Honco doubles its "shipping-receiving" space to keep pace with its full order book. Further major investments are made to improve production capacity. At the end of the decade, the Honco Group acquires its sixth subsidiary, Ridge Nassau.
