Honco served as general contractor for the complete delivery of the Desjardins Multisports Complex, a major project for the Collège de Levis. This turnkey mandate included full site management as well as the supply and installation of the Honco steel structure.
The complex features a FIFA-sized indoor soccer field, which can be divided to accommodate various game formats, a spectator mezzanine with room for up to 400 people, 16 locker rooms, 2 classrooms, and office spaces. This sports facility addresses the growing needs of student-athletes at the school, local sports associations, and the Lévis community.
In addition to the prefabricated steel building, the project also included the construction of a three-level underground parking facility with 770 spaces, fully dedicated to users of the nearby hospital, the CLSC, and the long-term care facility. A much-needed addition for the Old Levis sector.
Thanks to its prefabricated steel building system, Honco’s structure allows for wide clear spans, optimal interior clearance, and excellent energy performance, essential benefits for a modern sports complex. The fast installation and long-term durability make it an ideal solution for large-scale athletic infrastructure projects.
